Pumpkin Picking 2003

Sarah Cover, Katie Orlowski, and I trekked over to Hillard's on
Washtenaw to for some "pumpkin picking". I have never in my life seen a better selection of pumpkins! They were all huge! I mean, look at the pumpkin's in the picture. Were those the biggest? Not really - they were all that big. Plus - for each normal (orange) pumpkin we bought, we got a free white pumpkin (they were so weird looking). I should have taken another picture which showed how we fit all those pumpkins in the car. We got 18 large orange pumpkins. We then determined that we could fit 5 of the white pumpkins in the car as well. So - we've got these freaky white pumpkins to carve in addition to the traditional orange ones. Now the funny thing about this whole situation is that the orange pumpkins were $4.49 each plus you get a free white pumpkin. But, if you wanted just the white pumpkin, you had to pay $4.99. Huh? |
