Big Wreck at Roy Thompson Hall, Toronto, ON, October 6, 2001

This was certainly a trip/concert of a life time. Not only did I get to see a superbly executed concert by a group of very talented musicians, but I got to meet some people I'd only talked to over the internet!

There really aren't enough words to describe how wonderful the music was at the show. The addition of a symphony (and they were playing in such an acoustically superb venue) really took the music to new places - it just sounded so much more complete with all the additional musicians. They had some special guests - Eric Johnson, a really talented guitarist, plus the guitarists from Tragically Hip, which of course made the canadian audience happy. And they had a trio of Japanese drummers who were just phenomenal. They leap about while pounding out complex rhythms on their enormous drums. And of course, we can't forget the acrobats. They were interesting. I'm sorry I don't have pictures of them!
